This website sets no cookies, loads nothing from third parties, and collects no personal data beyond what any web server records.

1. Data controller

We have not appointed a data protection officer, as we are not required to do so under Art. 37 GDPR.
2. The short version
This site is a set of static pages. It has no user accounts, no comments, no contact form and no shopping basket. In normal use it collects nothing from you beyond the access data your browser sends to any web server.
Specifically, and because the previous version of this site was different:
- No cookies are set. Not for analytics, not for consent, not for anything else. This is also why you are not being asked to accept any.
- Nothing is loaded from third-party servers. Fonts, images, scripts and styles all come from this domain.
- No advertising or social media trackers. No Google Analytics, no Facebook Pixel, no embedded social widgets.
3. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by an external hosting provider in Germany. When you visit a page, the hosting provider's web server automatically records the information your browser transmits:
- browser type and version
- operating system
- referring URL
- host name of the accessing device
- date and time of the request
- IP address
This data is necessary to deliver the website, to keep it secure and stable, and to investigate faults and attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is not merged with other data sources and is deleted by the provider after a short retention period.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with our hosting provider in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Cookies and local storage
This website does not set cookies and does not write anything to your browser's local storage.
The previous version of this site used a consent banner together with Google Analytics and the Facebook Pixel. Those have been removed, and with them the reason for the banner.
5. Fonts
The typefaces used on this site (DM Sans and Syne, both licensed under the SIL Open Font License) are served from our own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other external font service, and no data about your visit reaches a third party through them.
6. Reach measurement
We use Umami, an open-source analytics tool, which we operate ourselves on our own server in Germany. Umami is used to understand which pages are read and where visitors come from.
Umami is designed to work without identifying individuals:
- it sets no cookies,
- it stores no IP addresses,
- it creates no cross-site or cross-day profile of a visitor,
- and the data never leaves our own server.
Because no personal data is processed in a way that would allow you to be identified, this measurement does not require your consent. Insofar as the processing of technical access data is nevertheless relevant under data protection law, it is based on our legitimate interest in understanding the use of our own website under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
7. Contact by email
If you write to us at the address given above, your message and the contact details it contains are stored in order to process your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your message relates to a contract or pre-contractual steps, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries addressed to us under Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
We keep such correspondence until it is no longer needed, or until you ask us to delete it. Statutory retention obligations, in particular under commercial and tax law, remain unaffected.
8. External links
This site links to external websites, including our own projects at
sailto.app and k-m-music.com. Following such a link takes you to a service
with its own privacy policy, over which this policy has no effect. Nothing is
transmitted to those services before you click.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
- erasure (Art. 17)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- data portability (Art. 20)
- object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein, Holstenstraße 98, 24103 Kiel, Germany. You may also contact the authority where you live.
10. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the way this site works changes. This version replaces the one published in March 2026, which described a cookie banner, Google Analytics, the Facebook Pixel and externally hosted Google Fonts — none of which this site uses any more.
